June 7- Seattle Firefighter’s quick response kept an apartment fire from spreading to other units. A 911 came into dispatch at 4:34 in the morning reporting a fire at a four-unit apartment complex in the 5000 block of 38th Avenue SW in West Seattle. Firefighters arrived four minutes later and found three adults outside the burning upper level apartment. The crews were able to knock the fire down within 20 minutes.
Fire investigators are calling it an accidental fire caused by a candle that was left burning. The initial damage estimates are $75,000 to the structure and $25,000 to the contents. There were no reports of injuries. Red Cross was called to assist the residents of the burned out unit with temporary housing.
