Seattle-Firefighters and Police Officers and their family and friends from around the region will take part in the 10th Anniversary of the 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on Sunday, September 11.
While climbing the tower, each participant will wear a picture of one of the 343 New York City Fire Fighters or one of the 61 Police Officers who perished on September 11, 2001. This is your opportunity to celebrate the lives of the fallen, by remembering the sacrifice they and others have selflessly given.
Firefighters and Police Officers will climb to the 55th floor of the tower twice, representing the 110 stories of the Twin Towers. The 9-11 Stair climb is being organized by a Seattle Firefighter and is sponsored by Seattle’s Bravest Charity and Local 27. All proceeds of the stair climb will benefit the New York Police and Fire Widow’s and Childrens’ Benefit Fund.
