September 15— Seattle Fire Medics were unable to revive a construction worker at a Belltown demolition project after a jobsite accident. At 10:15 this morning, Seattle Fire Medics responded to a construction site located at 2nd and Wall Street. Upon arriving, Medics began CPR on an adult male who was unconscious and not breathing. Despite a lengthy CPR effort by Medics, the male in his 40’s passed away.
Witnesses told firefighters the man suffered a severe neck trauma. The Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine the cause of death. The State Department of Labor and Industries is conducting an investigation into the events that led up to the death.
