The Seattle Fire Department is partnering with Seattle Public Libraries on a story time program to raise awareness of home fire safety for preschool age children and their parents.
Seattle Fire Chief Gregory Dean will be the special guest reader at a story time on Tuesday, October 25 at 10:30 a.m. at the Douglass-Truth Library, 2300 East Yesler Way. He will read “No Dragons for Tea” to a group of preschoolers as part of a month long series promoting Fire Prevention Month.
For more than a decade, Seattle Firefighters and Seattle Public Libraries have sponsored the Firefighter Story Times to teach children and their families home fire safety tips. Seattle Firefighters are reading to children at 10 different libraries throughout the city during the month of October.
