November 5—-Four Seattle Firefighters spent two hours on Saturday giving out free smoke detectors and changing residents smoke alarm batteries. The firefighters visited the residents of the Halcyon Mobile Home Park located on the 122 hundred block of Ashworth Avenue North.
Firefighters from Engine Company 24 installed 25 smoke alarms and installed 7 batteries in 7 smoke detectors at the senior mobile home park.
The mobile home park was chosen because many of the homes did not have working smoke alarms. The Seattle Fire Department wants to encourage all residents to test their smoke alarms to make sure they are working properly.
