At 5:16 p.m., Firefighters responded to a call of boaters in distress off the Eastside of Foster Island. Caller indicated there was an overturned canoe with two people hanging on the side of the canoe.
Seattle Police Harbor Patrol along with Seattle Firefighters on boats responded to the island. Fellow boaters pulled a man in his 30’s and his 4-year-old son out of the water and brought them to shore.
Firefighters examined the father and son and determined they were a little cold but uninjured.
