July 2–The Seattle Fire Department wrapped up it’s hazardous material operations at the Rainier Valley milk processing plant this afternoon.
Around 1 p.m., air quality readings returned to safe levels at the plant located in the 4000 block of Rainier Avenue South.
Firefighters spent nearly 31 hours on scene of a broken ammonia gas pipe which sent dangerous levels of gas into the building.
The facility has been turned over to the property owners.
