Riding a bicycle is fun and a great way to commute to school or work. Unfortunately, every year, thousands of people are injured because of bicycle-related accidents. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over 500,000 people in the U.S. are treated in emergency rooms from bicycle-related accidents. Children are at a higher risk for being injured on a bicycle and make up around 59% of those injured.
Follow the rules of the road, always wear a helmet, and bike with lights if riding at night.
The links below provide a comprehensive list of ways to stay safe while riding your bike.
