July 17—Seattle Firefighters treated 5 patients at a multi-car accident along 15th Avenue West and West Garfield Street.
At 6:22 a.m. firefighters and paramedics responded to reports of a 6 car accident with one patient trapped inside her car.
When firefighters arrived they found an off-duty Seattle Firefighter/Paramedic and an off-duty AMR EMT performing CPR on the female patient.
Firefighters cut the roof off the car and cut out the steering column to free the female patient. Medics transported the woman in her 50’s to Harborview. Firefighters performed continous CPR during the transport. She was in critical condition with life threatening injuries.
Medics transported the driver of a red SUV to Harborview in serious condition. He self extricated out of the sunroof of the SUV. He was a male in his 40’s.
AMR transported 3 other patients to Harborview with minor injuries.
