Firefighters from Green Lake Station 16 arrived first to find smoke showing on the first floor of the building. Firefighters made forcible entry into the restaurant but could not find any flames.
Firefighters found a fire burning in an exterior wall and quickly extinguished it. An electrical short in Knob and Tube wiring smoldered until finally burning through the exterior siding resulting in a 6’ x 8 foot hole. The restaurant suffered smoke damage to its interior. The structure damage estimate is $5000.
There were no injuries.
