Engine Company 25 was the first to arrive on scene. They found smoke inside the two-story eatery. Ladder Company 10 took to the roof and forced entry into the building. Firefighters on the roof reported heavy flames and smoke pouring through the roof. It took 45 minutes for firefighters to control the flames.
No one was inside the building when the fire broke out. One firefighter suffered a minor knee injury while fighting the fire. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center, examined by doctors and released.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to neighboring businesses.
The Seattle Fire Investigator is calling the cause undetermined until he gathers more information. The damage estimate is still pending.
