July 30— Seattle Fire Department Paramedics transported two patients from the blackberry bushes near I-5 and Airport Way South after they jumped off the overpass.
At 9:46 p.m. Paramedics were called to Airport Way South and S. Snoqualmie Street to reports of a man who jumped off the overpass. When Paramedics arrived, they found an unconscious and unresponsive male in his 20’s who was resting in blackberry bushes. He fell approximately 40-50 feet after jumping off the overpass. Medics transported the male in his early 20’sbto Harborview Medical Center in critical condition with possible head injuries.
In the process of treating the first patient paramedics discovered a second patient in the same area. The second man was found on the other side of the overpass. He apparently jumped and fell 4-5 feet and then rolled down a 10-foot embankment. This male in his mid-20’s had no obvious signs of trauma. Medics transported this male to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.
