March 8—Seattle Fire Paramedics transported a 25-year-old female to Harborview Medical Center after she became ill inside an x-ray room of a children’s clinic.
At 9:42 a.m., Seattle Firefighters responded to a report of multiple sick patients from the x-ray lab of a clinic located in the 2100 block of East Yesler Way.
Firefighters evacuated the clinic and isolated the 4 patients. All four patients were examined by paramedics. Three of the patients were determined to be okay while one 25-year-old female patient complained of eye irritation and body aches. Medics transported her to Harborview in stable condition.
The Seattle Fire Department’s Hazardous Material Team inspected the x-ray room and determined the cause was two x-ray chemicals that were mixed together. The Haz-Mat team determined the building was safe to reoccupy.
