August 6—A Seattle Fire Investigator determined an early morning fire along 4th Avenue South was caused by somebody igniting available combustibles inside a postal business.
At 4:49 a.m., a 911 call came in reporting smoke inside a building in the 5300 block of 4th Avenue South. Engine Company 13 arrived to find light smoke inside the building. Firefighters knocked down the fire within 3 minutes of arriving on scene.
The Seattle Police Department Arson Bomb Squad responded to the scene. The Seattle Fire Investigator estimates fire damage at $10,000.
There were no reported injuries.
