Because of its importance for residents and businesses, the Seattle Fire Code is updated by the Seattle Fire Department in cooperation with a volunteer advisory board that represents the interests of the public and local business, industry, and technical trades. Board members are appointed by the Mayor, confirmed by the City Council, and play a crucial role in establishing the fire code for Seattle. We are seeking to fill board positions that represent the following industries and groups:
