Crown Hill House Fire

SEATTLE – On Monday, February 19 at 2:58 a.m. the Fire Alarm Center received multiple 911 calls for a house fire on the 9000 Blk of 12 Ave NW. Engine 35 arrived first on scene and reported heavy fire already through the roof. Because of the heavy volume of fire in the structure, crews applied water from the outside which kept the fire from damaging other residences. The fire was completely extinguished by 4:52 a.m.

At the height of the fire, four engines and two ladder trucks were on-scene. There were no occupants inside the house, and one firefighter sustained a minor injury from a ground level fall.

Fire investigators are still investigating the cause so it is undetermined at this time. Estimated loss is $300,000 to the structure and $100,000 to contents.
