Four found deceased in 2-alarm fire in the Fremont/Wallingford neighborhoods

Seattle — Around 8:45 a.m. Seattle firefighters were dispatched to reports of a fire and scene of violence in a home at the 1000 block of N 48th St. As crews arrived, they pulled hose lines and connected to hydrants to begin fighting the fire. However, Seattle Police officers informed them the scene was not secure. Forcing firefighters to withdraw from the home and pour water on the fire at a safe distance. They were able to knock down the exterior portion of the fire while searching and protecting the neighboring homes.

After Seattle Police officers secured the scene, firefighters were able to get the fire under control. Then searched the home to find two deceased adults, two deceased children and a deceased dog. Firefighters will remain on scene through the early afternoon to overhaul and extinguish any hotspots. The Seattle Police Department is leading the investigation.
