2-alarm fire in the Fremont neighborhood

Seattle — At 9:44 p.m., the Seattle Fire Department’s Fire Alarm Center received multiple 911 calls reporting an RV fire in the driveway of a home located in 3800 block of Ashworth Ave. N. Engine 9 was the first unit on scene. They reported an RV fire that had extended to the residence. They worked quickly to put water on the fire and search the home.

At 9:52 p.m., Battalion 6 upgraded the response to a 2-alarm fire, requesting additional resources. Firefighters were able to get the fire under control at 10:09 p.m. and extinguished at 10:23 p.m. 

Three adults were displaced from the home, and the Red Cross was contacted to assist with housing.  No injuries were reported, and a unit will remain on scene overnight for fire watch. In total, approximately 88 firefighters responded to the scene including ten engines, five ladder companies, Rescue Company 1, and additional support and command staff.   

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
