The City of Seattle will lift its Stage 2 Burn Ban effective Oct. 1, 2026 at 8 a.m. in alignment with King County. The Stage 2 Burn Ban had prohibited any outdoor fire. With the burn ban lifted, the burning of recreational fires on private property may resume following the requirements outlined in the Seattle Fire Department’s Client Assistance Memo 5022.
